yuriko, the tiger's shadow competitive

Cookies help us deliver our Services. My group atm has been very good at dealing with single creatures but not many small things, so ive tried adding things to get more off the moments when yuriko wont trigger. Types: Legendary Creature — Human Ninja. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated. Hello, I posted on here a while ago trying to brew up a spicy Yuriko decklist that might be able to compete at competitive tables (I know there was a lot of excitement around Yuriko at one point, especially from Cobblepot, but that seems to have died down). Brew. It's also nice that if you have Mike or Trike in your hand you can pitch it to Dreams. That was in a ~85% deck and felt like a pretty explosive win-con. Emrakul, the Promised End - (G) (SF) (txt) (ER)Treasure Cruise - (G) (SF) (txt) (ER)[[cardname]] or [[cardname|SET]] to call. Is Doomsday still a viable option because Yuriko can act as the opener without a cantrip in hand. On mobile so this isn't a full critique but I'd recommend switching draco out. I'm thinking the answer is yes. Card Text: Commander ninjutsu (, Return an unblocked attacker you control to hand: Put this card onto the battlefield from your hand or the command zone tapped and attacking.) I feel like there is potential here for an aggro/tempo list for Duel Commander. Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow is a highly competitive and interactive commander. Kind of reminds me of Tymna, in other colors, without partner. So, I'm actually thinking of ditching DD for a reanimator package and then having looter effects in there like Jace and... well, I'm not sure what other good looting effects there are that are 2CMC or less in blue or black, unless three is seen as acceptable. Tbh, this is mostly theory crafting. Like using weird stax pieces like Contamination and Energy Flux along with the usual suspects like sphere and thorn and orb. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast, More posts from the CompetitiveEDH community. Where I'm struggling with this deck is that a lot of the other decks that I've seen have seemed to shift away from a dedicated fast combo package in favor of a more stax approach and none seem to include Doomsday. I don't run that many tax effects, but when I do they are really crushing, so I'm thinking to go full on stax and drop DD. The thing is... this is far less abusable, and there are far less good Ninjas to pick from (10 if I remember correctly). Maybe try a few cheap creatures that trigger effects on attack, not damage? Discussion. I'm also working on Yuriko, I'm still trying to make Doomsday work, but I'm almost ready to give that up, because having Yuriko enablers just takes up so many slots, we're talking 15+, and if I really wanted to just dig for DD or a tutor, I could run random cantrips which dig faster and cheaper. Not sure how it'd do in cEDH but at around 5 slots it could be worth testing. Instead, they aim to stax out the table and win via large burn. Some top deck manipulation could be really good, to put any bombs back on top. I think stax/control is 100% the way to go. Continuing this - Just finished purchasing stuff for this and, unintentionally, there are a lot of fucking Faeries and Rogues that fit into this deck. This is a subreddit dedicated to playing the Commander format of Magic: The Gathering at the highest power level possible. T3 Cast Personal Tutor putting Enter the Infinite on top, attack, Ninjutsu, nug for 12. https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/yuriko-turns/?cb=1532741898. ), but I haven't fully decided yet. Part of the argument for running Draco is that Vampiric Tutor + Brainstorm is 32 damage for UB with 1 other ninja on the field. In french, this line isn't unreasonable, but it's not game winning. Just not sure how to go around designing it. The commander ninjutsu for sure seems interesting and reminds me of Derevi. Technically it's a 5 card combo since you need Insidious Dreams + 4 cards but that's not often too difficult if Yuriko engine is going. Press J to jump to the feed. +1 to emrakul, great thing to topdeck and if cast can be game ending for at least one opponent. You only need 1 opponent without a blocker. DECK HELP. I feel like she'll be banned as a commander in french at least. Unlike Edric, you don't have to go as wide for the attack plan, but itll probably be a challenge to ensure hitting all the turn spells consistently, so maybe a control shell that aims to win via flip triggers + turns? Yeah, I'm honestly thinking I may drop the DD package in lieu of a reanimator package and just add in more looting effects and high value targets (Jin, Cons Sphinx, Jace Vryn, etc. Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow Semi-competitive (perhaps?) Saccing a creature to Victimize also never feels like a huge leap since you have so many weenies. Each opponent loses life equal to that card’s converted mana cost. OH FUCK THIS WORKS WITH DOOMSDAY. This year my heart was stolen by our first UB Ninja legend, Yuriko, the Tiger’s Shadow. [[Temporal Trespass]] is nearly as much damage, but actually a playable card in the deck! Two of the biggest things I'd test out are: Running the 3 (or 4!) Chaining extra turns could be really good, like Edric, except instead of relying on combat damage youd be relying on flipping take turn spells (theyre usually cmc5 - 8); you'd have to hit maybe 5 or so to win, which isnt impossible considering black and blue tutors. Im also running key to the city, which might be cute, but its been a pretty key card for me. Even if you never cast Emrakul, I'd rather have the option to do so rather than Draco which drains for 3 more but is way more of a dead draw. 4 main gameplans are: kill with Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow triggers either through top of the deck manipulation or sheer luck. So, from what I'm reading so far, the consensus is that people are going to brew/play this like a U/B Edric? Here at The Commander's Quarters we brew fun and focused $25 EDH decks. This deck also uses Doomsday to excute lines for … Looks like you're using new Reddit on an old browser. I have been mucking around with my own yuriko build. Not normally a cedh player though so not sure if this combo even flies in your meta's. Very low commander cost - is often played attacking on T2, Burns EACH opponent off Ninja combat damage, My list isn't finished, nor is it updated at all for WAR: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/26-07-18-jPd-ninjas/.
